Our Location

San Juan Del Sur, Nicaragua
Closest airport: Managua, Nicaragua (MGA) or Liberia, Costa Rica (LIR)

Apogeo Guest House is within driving distance of two international airports that service most airlines. It is a ~2 hour drive from either airport. You are welcome to arrange for your own shuttle to town or transportation to the Guest House, or we are happy to arrange for private airport transfer with at least a one week notice. A car from MGA (that holds up to 4 people) is $95 or a car from LIR (that holds up to 4 people) is $150. We can also arrange for transfer for groups of up to 8 guests.

Travel Requirements

Get Tested
If you are fully vaccinated, you will now be able to travel without testing. Travelers who are not vaccinated must provide a negative PCR COVID-19 test to enter Nicaragua, taken no more than 72 hours before your trip.

Tourist Visa
If you are not a Nicaraguan citizen, you will need to purchase a tourist visa to enter the country. The tourist visa costs between $10 — $14USD and is available for purchase upon arrival in Nicaragua. You will also need to pay a $1 fee to the local Cardenas municipality.

Leaving Apogeo
When leaving the country, there are typically no requirements. However, protocols and requirements vary depending on what airport you will be flying out of and to which country. Our team is on hand to assist with any travel arrangements and necessary exit COVID-19 testing.
